This video of workers in a Chinese playing card factory sorting cards and stuffing boxes at a disorienting, speedy pace is making rounds on the internet. Most places you find it posted as a “Gee Whiz That’s Fast!” or “How They Make…” clip. How are these folks missing the whole “check out these high schoolers spending their formative years at a boring, carpal tunnel-inducing and demeaning job that pays next-to-nothing” angle?
